HONOR HER was created as a way to recognize and honor the lives, stories, and
service of women veterans.
So many women have given so much—through their service, their leadership, and the lives they continue to build beyond it.
This project is an opportunity to pause and be recognized in a different way.
Not just for what you’ve done, but for who you are.
HONOR HER is more than a portrait experience.
It is a legacy project designed to honor the stories, strength, and lives of women who have served.
Each participant will be invited to be part of a professionally curated coffee table book, pairing her portrait with a short personal story—creating a collective tribute to the courage, resilience, and journey of women veterans.
Our hope is to complete this book in time for Veterans Day, November 11, 2026.

The Experience
This experience is meant to feel calm, supportive, and unhurried.

Founded by Angie Joseph, RN, US Army Veteran, the farm provides a safe, supportive environment where individuals can slow down, reconnect, and begin to heal—physically, emotionally, and mentally.
Through programs focused on stress management, trauma recovery, and resilience, the work being done here is both deeply personal and profoundly impactful.
Surrounded by open land, nature, and the quiet presence of horses, the environment itself reflects that mission—offering a space that feels grounded, peaceful, and restorative.
This is one of the locations where HONOR HER sessions will take place, allowing participants to experience this setting as part of their portrait experience.
Through this project, you are helping support:
Scholarships for Veterans
A supportive community for Women Veterans
Stress relief, trauma healing & resilience-building programs
Suicide prevention and emotional support
Equine-partnered healing experiences
Holistic wellness services for people and animals
Bioenergetic scans and personalized guidance for whole-body balance
Your participation helps extend this support to others.

Over my years behind the camera, I’ve been drawn to the connections that shape our lives—between people, within families, and in the meaningful bonds we share with our animals. My work has never been about simply taking a photograph. It’s about creating space for someone to feel seen in a way that is honest, grounded, and real.
Throughout my career, I’ve photographed people in many different seasons of life, and what has mattered most to me is not just the image itself, but what happens in the process—when someone begins to recognize themselves again, sometimes in a way they haven’t in a long time.
One of my most meaningful projects, Tails of Franklin, was a charitable book that brought together the stories of pets and their people while giving back to the local community. That experience reinforced what I’ve come to believe deeply—that photography can honor a story and create something that extends beyond the individual.
Whether I’m photographing someone on their own, with their family, or alongside a beloved animal, my approach remains the same. I guide gently, creating an environment where you can feel comfortable, take a breath, and simply be yourself.
Being part of HONOR HER: A Coffee Table Book of Women Veterans is an opportunity to extend that work in a meaningful way—honoring the stories, strength, and individuality of women who have served.
At the heart of everything I do is a simple purpose: to help people see themselves with clarity, compassion, and a deeper sense of their own worth.
